Join the City of Winter Haven and the MLK Steering Committee for the annual MLK Unity Luncheon, a treasured community tradition honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through fellowship, inspiration, and celebration.
The morning begins with a Social Hour at 10:00 AM, offering guests the chance to visit, reconnect, and enjoy light refreshments before the program begins. The formal program starts at 11:00 AM, featuring a delicious catered meal, live entertainment from local schools, and an inspiring keynote address from a featured guest speaker.
A highlight of the luncheon is the recognition of the 2025 Local Black Heroes—extraordinary individuals who have dedicated their time, talent, and hearts to making a lasting difference in Winter Haven. Their contributions in faith, education, public service, business, and community leadership serve as a powerful reminder of the impact one person can make in the lives of others.
The MLK Unity Luncheon is a time to come together in gratitude, reflection, and pride as we celebrate those who continue to carry forward Dr. King’s legacy of service and strength within our own community.
